Airship uses the same compression used in the popular iPod and iTunes Store, and in BluRay DVDs. H.264 is a major improvement over MPEG2 and MPEG4 standards in both video quality and reduced storage and network bandwidth requirements.

Hard drives optimized for DVRs

Airship systems come equipped with hard drive arrays optimized for DVR recording. In some configurations, this includes RAID 5 for fault tolerance and performance. In other configurations, Seagate SV35 Series hard drives are used.

Camera settings

Create the camera resolution and recording settings you use most often, and quickly apply those settings to any camera — IP or analog. Each system comes with a set of default Profiles, and you can make your own, too. Learn more
